After being a free agent coach for all of 24 hours, Luke Walton has a new job.

Walton just has to travel a little bit north, as he heads from Los Angeles up to Sacramento to be the new Kings new head coach.

This really does not come as a surprise to anyone, as Kings GM Vlade Divac made it clear that he wanted Walton to be his head coach.

In fact, the reason that former head coach Dave Joerger was fired this week was probably due to Divac’s interest in Walton.

Now Walton will get the chance to coach a team that showed a lot of promise this year, built around the promising young back court of De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield.

LeBron James may be bringing his old coach to L.A. with him, as former Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue is in the running for the Lakers job.

Lue is set to meet with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka today to discuss the coaching vacancy.

Lue has been heavily-favored for this job since the position became available, with the obvious ties that Lue has with the Lakers best player.

Lue did help LeBron capture an NBA title a few years ago, when the two won the 2016 NBA Finals after falling behind 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors.

Now Lue could be joining LeBron as they try to make the Lakers once great organization relevant again.

A star was born last night in San Antonio, as Derrick White had a career-night in Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets.

White put the Spurs up 2-1 in the series, after scoring a career-high 36 points in the 118-108 victory.

White was the 29th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, after a four-year collegiate basketball career.

Last year, White played a majority of the year with the Spurs G-League affiliate, the Austin Spurs. White helped lead the Austin Spurs to a G-League Championship and is now helping the Spurs at the NBA-level.

Now on a team with All-Star players like DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldrige, it is White who is leading the charge.

With the Spurs ahead in the series and the next game being played in San Antonio, they are now in prime position to pull off the upset series victory over the No. 2 seed Denver Nuggets.

Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons was taking a lot of criticism in the media lately, as Jared Dudley said that he was average offensively when playing in the half court.

Simmons put all doubters to bed though last night, putting on a clinic as the 76ers went up 2-1 on the Brooklyn Nets in the series.

The Sixers needed Simmons to step up, as they were playing without fellow All-Star Joel Embiid.

Without Embiid, the Sixers got production up and down their roster, taking a team effort to dismantle the Nets.

After losing Game 1 of the series against the Nets, Philadelphia has now won the last two games by a combined margin of 38 points.

They will play in Brooklyn again tomorrow in Game 4, before returning to Philadelphia with a potential chance to clinch the series on Tuesday.
