Burglars caused $10,000 worth of damage to Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig’s home while attempting to steal a safe.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspects broke into Puig’s San Fernando Valley home Tuesday night. They ransacked the residence, found a safe in the second-floor master bedroom, and dragged it downstairs to the front door.

Police said Thursday that the suspects then fled, leaving the safe in the entry way. An inventory is being conducted to determine what else was taken. Puig was at Dodger Stadium for a game on Tuesday.

“I (did) not sleep too much yesterday,” Puig said Wednesday, without offering details about the latest incident.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying three suspects, including the driver of a black four-door Toyota vehicle with paper license plates.

Police say the same suspects are believed to have been involved in another burglary attempt at Puig’s home on Aug. 30.

Previous break-ins at Puig’s residences occurred in March 2017 and during Game 7 of last year’s World Series.

Vanessa Bryant Sues Helicopter Company in Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Published

Yesterday was the emotional conclusion to what has been a month of mourning following the tragic deaths of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi and seven other lives in a helicopter crash in January.

The Staples Center was the host of the beautiful Celebration of Life for Kobe and Gianna Bryantas Hollywood and the sports world united to share their appreciation of the Bryant family.

Prior to this service, Kobe’s widow Vanessa filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Vanessa Bryant’s lawsuit is based on the evidence that suggests that the helicopter pilot, Ara Zobayan, was negligent in eight different ways.

The suit asserts that his negligence not only cost his own life, by the lives of eight other innocent people including Kobe and Gigi.

Zobayan was Kobe’s frequent pilot and he was flying the group of eight passengers to the Mamba Academy for one of Gigi’s basketball games. The suit claims that the flying conditions on that Sunday were not conducive to safe travel, resulting in the crash.

The fog conditions were so bad that day that the Los Angeles police and sheriff’s departments had grounded their helicopter fleets.

Under the visual flight rules Zobayan was supposed to follow, he was required to be able to see where he was going. The lawsuit says that back in 2015, Zobayan was cited by the Federal Aviation Administration for violating those same rules when flying into a reduced visibility airspace.

Zobayan’s last transmission with air control stated that he was going to climb to 4,000 feet to get above the clouds. It was during that ascent that the helicopter banked left and crashed into the hillside, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.

The lawsuit claims that Island Express Inc. (the owner of the helicopter for which Zobayan worked) should have installed an alarm system that would have alerted the pilot he was close to hitting the ground.

As of now, standards only require ambulance helicopters to be fitted with such alarm systems, but they hope this accident will change those standards.

The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating this crash and has yet to come to any definitive conclusion on what caused the accident.

This lawsuit hopes to find answers for the cause of death and plans to hold the helicopter company accountable for those results.

Unfortunately nothing is going to bring those nine lives back. But hopefully the net result of this ends up being safer future helicopter travel that prevents these such accidents from ever happening again.

When the news of the Kobe Bryant’s death emerged on Sunday, everyone’s thoughts and prayers immediately went to his wife Vanessa and their daughters.

Then when we discovered that Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna was on board the helicopter with him, the magnitude of this tragedy really became unfathomable as this family lost two members in an instant.

No one can fully understand what the Bryant family is going through right now, but Vanessa has made the first statement on behalf of her family in this trying time.

My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. We ask that you grant us the respect and privacy we will need to navigate this new reality. To honor our Team Mamba family, the Mamba Sports Foundation has set up the MambaOnThree Fund to help support the other families affected by this tragedy. To donate, please go to MambaOnThree.org. To further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, please visit MambaSportsFoundation.org. Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me. #Mamba #Mambacita #GirlsDad #DaddysGirls #Family ❤️

Warrant Out For Odell Beckham Jr. For Slapping Police Officer’s Butt After LSU’s National Championship

Apparently there is such a thing as having too much fun, and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. has found the line.

After LSU won the College Football National Title, OBJ celebrated in the locker room with his alma mater. However, things took a turn for the worst when a police officer came in to stop the players from smoking cigars and Beckham patted the Officer on the rear end in a playful gesture.

However, the feeling was not reciprocated, as the New Orleans Police Department has now issued an arrest warrant accusing the Cleveland Browns wide receiver of simple battery.

Beckham already stirred up controversy for a different issue after the game, as he was recorded in a now-deleted video handing out cash to LSU players in a blatant violation of NCAA policy.

Sure, OBJ was just having a good time and there’s no doubt the LSU players enjoyed his presence. However, his actions are disappointing as they take attention away from LSU’s incredible accomplishments this season.
