Warriors Cruise Past the Clippers in Game 1

The Golden State Warriors are the presumptive favorite to win their third-straight NBA Finals this year and tonight was just the first step in that quest.

Playing against the No. 8 seed Los Angeles Clippers, the Warriors came away with the blowout victory.

Stephen Curry’s 38 points led all scorers, as he couldn’t miss from beyond the arc going 8-for-12 on his three-point attempts.

By making all of those threes, Curry actually put his name in the record books for the most playoff three-pointers made in NBA history.

While Clippers head coach Doc Rivers was not making excuses for why his team lost after the game, he did question the officiating and whether the game was really called the same for both teams.

Regardless of what happens with the officiating, the Clippers are going to have their work cut out for them if they want to turn this into a competitive series.

The Houston Rockets jumped out to an early 20-point lead in the first quarter of tonight’s game, which was enough to bury the Utah Jazz.

Houston scored 39 points in the quarter, as they utterly dominated the Jazz.

James Harden was cooking early on in the game, finishing the first half with numbers that would have been great had they been for the whole game.

Harden ended up finishing the game with a triple-double, as the Rockets cruised to a 20-point victory.

The Rockets are now just two wins away from the Western Conference Semifinals, where they will likely face the Golden State Warriors.

Bucks Beat Pistons Again to Go Up 2-0 in Series

The Milwaukee Bucks just keep on rolling in the playoffs, as Giannis Antetokounmpo led his team to another victory tonight.

Along with the great play from the Greek Freak, the Bucks also got some quality production from Pat Connaughton off the bench.

While the Detroit Pistons lost their second game of the series against the Bucks, at least they made this one a little respectable.

Sure they ultimately lost by 21 points, but it was a much better defeat than the 35-point loss they suffered in Game 1.

The way this series looks to be heading, the Bucks likely won’t have to return home to close it out as they play their next two games in Detroit.

Kyrie Irving Scores 37 to Hold Off Pacers to Win Game 2

The Boston Celtics came real close to losing their home-court advantage tonight, as the Indiana Pacers put up a valiant effort.

Through three quarters, the Pacers were up 79-68 and looked to be in control of the game. Then came the fourth quarter.

Boston outscored the Pacers by 19 points in the game’s final frame, allowing the Celtics to come away with their second victory of the series.

Jayson Tatum and Kyrie Irving led the charge for the Celtics in the fourth quarter, combining to score 19 of the Celtics 31 points.

While it was Tatum helping Irving in the fourth, for a majority of the game it was Irving that was carrying the Celtics offensively.

As a crazy as it might sound with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard in the conference, there is no Eastern Conference player that I would rather have in the playoffs than Kyrie.

Irving is the best pure scorer that the East has to offer, which gives the Celtics a great chance to make a deep playoff run.
